Designed as a treatment for , the is a simple, effective and inexpensive therapy to correct head position and prevent further health problems. It is used for infant torticollis as well as for older patients. When combined with stretching of the muscle, The Torticollis TOT Collar offers better results for torticollis than stretching alone.

The is designed to provide a noxious stimulant to the lateral aspect of the skull for those with congenital muscular torticollis. The wearer then moves away from this stimulus to a new, normal central corrected position. Adoption of a new, normal position provides the ability to reset perception of horizontal and maintain the corrected head position. The cool, comfortable torticollis collar is easy to put on and remove, and easy to keep clean. With a low profile, the level of support can be set to the wearer's needs. It is simple to fit, and easy to adjust to accommodate improvement. Nontoxic, washable and pre-assembled ready to fit.

Congenital Muscular Torticollis is general discovered in infants (during their first 6 to 8 weeks of life). Torticollis is characterized by a contracture of the sternocleidomastoid muscle which causes the head to be laterally flexed to one side and rotated toward the opposite shoulder. If uncorrected, torticollis can lead to plagiocephaly and a high thoracic scoliosis.

Torticollis collar use is added to the conservative treatment of infants with congenital muscular torticollis if they are 4 months of age or older and show a consistent head tilt of 5 degrees or more. The infant must have adequate ROM and lateral head righting reaction (head control and strength) to lift his or her head away from the side of the Torticollis collar.
